What is Litigation?

Litigation is a process for resolving legal disputes through negotiation or if necessary the courts. Civil Litigation is the process of resolving non-criminal legal disputes.

 

I don't know if I have a case

You don't need to. That's what we are here for. All you would need to do is explain the history of the problem and gather any papers you may have in relation to it.

 

Is it expensive?

It can be but it depends on the circumstances and parties involved. Our Lawyers will charge an hourly rate for this type of work. The more that is in dispute the longer we will have to work on your case. Similarly, if neither party is prepared to negotiate then it is likely that court action will be the only way to resolve the dispute.

What should I do?

Firstly, see if you are able to resolve the dispute amicably with the other person/company. If not, find out as much as possible about that person/company. After all, there is no point spending large amounts of money on court proceedings only to find out that the other person/company is broke/bankrupt or has no ability to pay. As the phrase says “you can’t get blood out of a stone”.
